  • Hi everyone, My name is Josh Bowden. I am starting my 3rd year here at Stokesdale Elementary. This is my 19th year of teaching P.E. for Guilford County Schools. I am a 2005 graduate of UNCG with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a focus on Physical Education as well as a degree in History. In the past, I have coached high school basketball for 15 years and high school soccer for a brief time.

    At Stokesdale in P.E. class your students will participate in fitness, team building, skill development, fitness challenges/testing and many games that involve cooperation and togetherness. I try to make class challenging for our kids in athletics while making it fun and not as competitive for the kids that aren't that into sports. I want this to be the beginning of life long fitness for your children so they can find things that they enjoy when sports end.
