Welcome to the 2022 - 2023 school year. My name is Abu Zaeem and I will be serving Shadybrook Elementary School students and families as their principal. I am looking forward to working with our young men and women and helping them become successful. We have a golden opportunity to influence our children in a manner so that they are prepared to become productive citizens of this great country. 

I bring to Shadybrook 17 years of experience in education. Previously, my experience has been in the classroom as a Mathematics teacher in middle and high school and as an administrator at the middle school level. I received my undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Business Administration from High Point University. I later returned to my alma mater to receive my Master's degree in Educational Leadership.

I have three beautiful children. Amir, 17, Ayesha, 12 and AbuZarr, 7, who keep me busy while at home.
