Welcome to 6th Grade Vikings!!

My Name is Sashoi Hinds. I was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica. My teaching career started in 1998 when I attended Sam Sharpe Teacher’s College (Jamaica). I majored in elementary education and graduated with a teaching diploma. Throughout the years, I have developed a passion for education and continued my studies. I attended Nova Southeastern University (Florida), where I received my Bachelors in elementary education.

In 2008, I migrated to the United states. My career blossomed. Being the life-long learner that I am, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University (Virginia) and received my Master’s in Education Leadership. I have 17 plus years of teaching experience, however my education and learning never stops.

I’m excited to get to know you and your child. I will be teaching English Language Arts and Social Studies. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in 6^th grade.

For the 1^st few weeks of school we will be focusing on getting our scholars excited about reading (Literacy Launch Lab) and in Social Studies, Human Geography.
