Welcome to 6th grade!  I'm excited to be your ELA teacher this year! I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA, but NC has been home since 2003.  I hold a BS in elementary education (Penn State University) and an MA in educational psychology (The University of Alabama).  I have been teaching within Guilford County since 2003, and at Northwest Middle since 2008. In addition to teaching at NWMS,  I'm an online adjunct professor at St. Andrews University and an online ESL teacher, too.  I absolutely love teaching in different capacities with different student groups!  I am the mom of five kids, ranging from kindergarten to college age! Sixth grade was my favorite grade as a student, and I'm here to help you have a great 6th-grade experience, too! I look forward to a great year together.
