Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Andrew Beach
I graduated from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro in the Fall of 2018 with a bachelor's degree in K-12 Instrumental Music Education and a minor in Philosophy. My primary instrument is the double bass. I have played the double bass in many UNCG ensembles, Greensboro Opera, Greensboro Philharmonia, Bel Canto, and with the Fayetteville Symphony. I also enjoy playing mandolin, violin, cello, guitar, piano, and drums. My musical performance experiences include classical, jazz, metal, avant-garde, bluegrass, and old time music. In addition to performing music, I am a composer. I have written music for several plays through the UNCG Theater for Young People and for independent directors.
I am passionate about sharing my love of music with young students and giving them the tools they need to enjoy and create music. I firmly believe that anyone can make music and that a quality musical education is a vital step in helping students to create and appreciate wonderful music.
