Week of 02.22.21
- New Schedules:
FACE-TO-FACE STUDENTS FINDING THEIR FACE-TO-FACE SCHEDULES: You don’t need to do anything ahead of time to find your new face-to-face schedule. All face-to-face learners will receive their schedule (a new “order of classes”) during their first class of the day at Mendenhall. Each teacher throughout the day will spend a little time during class reviewing the changes in the schedule/new order of classes that students will experience.
All 6th grade students received individualized schedule information from their teachers through Canvas Messaging.
All 7th and 8th grade students will receive schedule information the week prior to students being in the building.
REMOTE-ONLY STUDENTS FINDING THEIR REMOTE SCHEDULES:
All 6th grade students have received individualized schedule information from their teachers through Canvas Messaging. 7th and 8th grade will receive all schedule information the week prior to Face-to-Face students returning to the building so that all students in the same grade start the new schedule at the same time.
UPDATE: TRANSITIONS AT SCHOOL DURING FACE-TO-FACE LEARNING:
The transition plan for students remains the same as previously communicated – here are details that will help you envision the school day:
Core Classes: Students will still have one transition each day. Teachers will rotate for each Core class instead of students changing classes. For Core classes, students will report to their Homeroom. This is noted in both PowerSchool and on the schedule information received by their teacher in Canvas Messaging the week before their grade level starts face-to-face learning (look at the section labeled “Report To Room Number”). The class grouping for Homeroom is usually a student’s math class.
Encore Classes: Students will transition to one Encore class daily. This information comes from their teacher through Canvas Messaging the week before their grade level starts face-to-face learning.
Lunch Time: Students will eat lunch in the same room as their Homeroom grouping noted above. Please help us by sending lunch with your child if they bring their lunch, instead of dropping off lunch daily. If your child forgets lunch, please call the school at 336.545.2000 ahead of time to help us follow COVID19 protocols.

Hard copies will be available for those without a phone.
*Please see below for all CrisisGo APP and login information.
- Bookbags & Supplies:Students will not have access to lockers and will carry bookbags to class so please allow your child to pack lightly with access to personal pens, pencils, folder(s), notebooks, and full water bottle each day. Please avoid too many heavy, bulky binders.

- Computers at School:Student computers are expected to arrive soon and we are excited about this! We will let you know as soon as they are here so we can begin the checkout process for all students. At this point, teachers are planning lessons for face-to-face learners that do not require computers while at school.
- Universal Breakfast for All Students:Students will pick up a free breakfast as they enter classrooms daily. Additional Meals: Students may pick up additional free meals as they exit the building daily.
