Ms. Shanna Dowd - Science Teacher

• Born and raised in the suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts - moved to High Point at 17 and graduated from T. Wingate Andrews in 1990 (Red Raider for Life!)

• Earned a B.S. in Animal Science and an M.S. in Agriscience Education from North Carolina A&T State University (Aggie Pride!)

• Earned an Educational Specialist (EdS) degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University

• Began teaching science in 2000 at Allen Middle School in Greensboro

• Wife and mother of 2 children (Kiana - A&T Grad; Jayden - 7th grader at Impact Journey School in Greensboro) and the most amazing Boston Terrier (Biggie Smalls) and French Bulldog (Jersey)

• Proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 

• Loves binge-watching 80s sitcoms
