I am joyful to join the Pirate family as your Assistant Principal!   

I fully support the vision of Irving Park Elementary School to ensure that every student is achieving their maximum potential, and I believe that educating our children to become informed, confident problem solvers is critical, heroic work.  I look forward to growing together and to learning more about how I can best support you, our scholars and families, and our community partnerships.   

The 2022-23 academic year marks my 15^th year in public education in North Carolina and my 11^th year in Guilford County Schools.  Prior to joining the Pirate family, I served as an assistant principal, middle school science teacher, and STEM Coordinator.  I am a graduate of Guilford College (Go, Quakers!), Elon University (Go, Phoenix!), and High Point University (Go, Panthers!), and I am currently pursuing an Ed.D. from High Point University.   

My husband and I are proud parents to three children—Isaac (20), Owen (16), and Ezra (9).  Together, we enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling to visit family, and playing board and trivia games.
