Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a federally-funded program designed to support students as they prepare for and succeed in college. The USU GEAR UP program helps students and families to see that it is possible to attend a school after high school, whether that is a 4-year college or a 2-year technical school. GEAR UP GCS works in partnership and collaboration with schools, teachers, staff, and families.

Who Can Take Advantage of GEAR UP GCS ?
Students at Jackson Middle are currently in 6th through 8th grade during the 2022-2023 school year. As the students move through the grades, the GEAR UP GCS program goes with them, through high school graduation, and into their first year of college.
