Good evening Florence Families, this is Ms. Young calling with your weekly cowboy updates.

Thank you to everyone for raising money for Florence through BoosterThon! We earned over $20,000 for our school! Donating online will officially close at 8am on Tuesday, October 8. Please reach out for corporate matches as well- this opportunity has been extended even further.

Tuesday, October 8 is Salsarita’s Night Spirit 5-9pm @ the Palladium. Please come out and support this community partner.  

Thursday, October 10 there will be a PTA meeting at Florence in the media center at 6pm that will focus on preparing for the Fall Fest. Thank you to the families and staff that are collecting and organizing items for the basket raffles.  Please sign up for a donation, booth or trunk or treat spot soon!

The Fall book fair is starts on Thursday, October 17 through Saturday, October 26.  We are so excited for the Book Fair this year.  Be on the lookout for the book fair flier and letter going home with your student soon.  We need volunteers for the book fair!  Check the letter for instructions to sign up to volunteer or check our social media for a link to sign up. We can't wait to see you there!

 Please remember to register to be a GCS volunteer at https://www.gcsvolunteers.com/. This needs to be done annually!
