Shannon Ray

Hello! My name is Mrs. Ray and I am so excited to be teaching your child this year.  I entered teaching due to my love of children and my passion for watching them grow.  In my time as a teacher, I have had the pleasure of teaching at 3 unique and wonderful schools and 4 different grade levels.  In my transition to Florence, I was afforded the opportunity to return to my most adored grade level-Second grade. 

I believe that I am a facilitator of learning.  By encouraging students to discover, challenge, struggle and interact with concepts...growth is inevitable.  I look forward to getting to know each and every student.  I am eagerly waiting to seeing their light bulbs pop on, their ah-ha moments happen and their continuous growth!
