Hello! Welcome to our class page! Here's a little bit of info about me.

My mom was a teacher, so I caught the teaching bug early. I have always loved school and I love to learn along with my students. I attended Grace College in Winona Lake, IN and received a B.S. in Education there. The funny thing is that I didn't want to teach right away and I didn't want children for a long time. But, life is a funny thing! This is my 17th year here at Johnson Street and I have 10 children of my own. Three of them are attending Johnson Street this year! Johnson Street is our home and we love it here!

People often ask me why I have so many children and they want to know why I am a teacher. The truth is that I love working with children, seeing them grow and reach their goals. And, they keep me young!  :) I want to help your child to be a more confident reader, learn their math facts and strategies for problem solving, and to become effective writers. I also want to help your child learn to work with others and gain a global perspective. Our second grade team works together to make sure that every student has the tools they need to be successful. We are here to help and partner with you.
