Hi! My name is Kellie Capps and I live in Pleasant Garden with my significant other, Dwayne. His daughter, Cassie, spends a lot of time with us. She is a senior in high school and is being recruited to play college softball. I enjoy traveling to the beach and spending time with friends and family. I have one brother named Mark. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th grades and K-5 technology. This is my 27th year of teaching.
In May of 1992, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development from UNC-G. In May of 1995, I graduated from UNC-G with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. In 2015, I completed coursework for add on licensure in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University. I am a National Board Certified Teacher under the classification of Middle Childhood Generalist.
I grew up in Greensboro and Pleasant Garden, where I attended Alderman Elementary for Kindergarten-2nd Grade, Pleasant Garden Elementary for 3rd-6th Grades and then attended Southeast Junior High for 7th-9th grade before graduating from Southeast High School in 1988.
