• Greetings!

    My name is Daylonda Lee. I am very excited to be you and your child Biology Teacher for the 2021-2022 academic school year. Ive been teaching Biology for the past 8 years. I have built relationships, engaged and grew students to become innovative learners. It brings me great joy to impact the lives of students. Science plays a major role in today’s society, and requires the use of critical thinking, problem solving, and cognitive skills to understand the dynamic world around us. To reach this goal, I am exciting about creating a learning environment that will cultivate students to gain insight on ways science influences them and drive them to become innovative thinkers. As a science teacher, I strive to be creative with helping 21st century learners’ process information that will improve their ability to understand information. It is my goal to provide opportunities that will allow students to incorporate research- based learning virtually in order for higher level thinking to occur. 

    This year will certainly look different than years past, but I still hold my students to high standards, because I know that they are capable. There are portions of class that will be challenging, but I know that everyone can learn the material if they work hard and ask for help when they need it. Both in and outside of the classroom, I encourage my students to ask for help whenever they need it. To that end, parents and students, I will rely on your support and cooperation to ensure successful learning takes place. It would help me greatly if you would please reach out anytime you have questions or concerns. I’m happy to work with everyone as we endeavor to ask questions, uncover solutions, and even have a little fun this school year.
