Welcome! After seven years teaching 7th grade at NWMS, I am excited to be teaching 8th-grade English Language Arts.

I was born and raised in Canada.  I attended the University of Lethbridge, where I earned a B.A/B. Ed degree in English Education.  My husband and I moved to the United States 18 years ago for his job.  Our family became US citizens in 2016.  I am married and I have two children: my daughter, who is a senior at Brevard College, and my son, who is a junior at Appalachian State University.

In my spare time, I like to read, cheer on my children at their activities, go mountain biking and rock climbing (preferably outdoors), do watersports at the lake such as wake-surfing and waterskiing, and travel.  I have also started participating in triathlons and I am hooked!
