Career and College Promise

What Is NC Career & College Promise?

 The Career and College Promise Program is designed to provide seamless dual enrollment opportunities for eligible North Carolina high school students. This program can accelerate completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills. 

Students may take GTCC coursework by enrolling in one of the three following pathways: 

1. College Transfer Pathway leading to college transfer credit
2. Career and Technical Education Pathway leading to a certificate, diploma or degree
3. Cooperative Innovative High School Pathway

Students attending a Cooperative Innovative High School program will have their tuition, student fees, textbooks and transportation provided.  Students who are not enrolled at a Cooperative Innovative High School may opt to take courses with their tuition paid through the Career and College Promise Initiative, but the student will be responsible for GTCC student fees, textbooks and transportation.

Students interested in taking advantage of the Career and College Promise Initiative should see their high school counselor or career development coordinator to determine eligibility and begin the application process.
