Industry Recognized Credentials for Students
There are benefits for students who have attained a credential. They have a documented skill set, are more marketable in the employment arena, and are better prepared to succeed in a post-secondary environment. Credentialing offers students authentic evidence of skill attainment that is relevant to careers and continuing education.
CTE programs are major contributors to Guilford County's supply of skilled workers for local businesses. Business and industry normally consider external credentialing a reliable "predictor of success" for entry-level employment. Labor pools with specific technical skills along with foundational and transferrable skills attract business to locate and operate in our region.
