All students are expected to engage and participate actively in all classroom activities. 

Social & Cultural. Students are expected to understand, value and respect their own cultures and those of others. In addition, students are expected to appreciate the variety of languages, cultures, and demonstrate social, cultural and global awareness at all times.

Reading. Students are expected to read a variety of texts for different purposes, and effectively use a wide variety of reading strategies.

Writing.  Students are expected to communicate clearly in writing for a variety of purposes and audiences. Students will utilize different strategies and stages in the writing process.

Oral Communication (listening and speaking). Students are expected to understand, interpret, and use oral English with different tools, media and for different purposes at all times.
