My name is Timothy Wolfe.  I am excited and honored to serve Northern Guilford High School this year as an Assistant Principal.  I am originally from Long Island, NY.  My family and I relocated to North Carolina 11 years ago.

I received my Master’s degree in Education at Long Island University @ C. W. Post in 2004 and am certified to teach grades 6-12th in Social Studies. I have taught both at the high school and middle school level for 9 years. I spent my first 4 years in North Carolina Teaching in high school history for Guilford County Schools.  During this time, I was involved with curriculum development and review for the county.  I also served as my school’s school improvement team chair for two years.  I was selected by Pearson NES as a history consultant for the evaluation of national testing standards in 2009.  The second half of my teaching career in North Carolina was spent in a private middle school in Forsyth County teaching middle school history, English and literature.  During my four years there, I became a mentor, technology committee chair and school board teacher representative for the district.  I have also taught Political Science classes to freshman and juniors at S.U.N.Y. Old Westbury College in New York.  I attended UNC Greensboro from 20014-2016 and obtained my Post Masters Certificate in School Administration.  I completed my administration internship at Northwest Guilford Middle School during the 2015-2016 school year. Another educational experience that has shaped my educational development and advancement, was my time spent as the assistant director of the Teacher’s Institute for the North Carolina Humanities Council. During my time there my main function was to organize professional development opportunities for public school teachers throughout the state.

I believe it is important to develop relationships and advocate for all stakeholders that make up the school community.  With all stakeholders working together for the academic success of our students, Northern High will become as stated by Principal Janiese McKenzie in her belief and vision statements that  "Northern can, and should be a model school for Guilford County and the state of North Carolina."
