Guilford County Schools is pleased to offer a variety of benefits reflecting the diverse needs of our employees. We offer comprehensive and cost-sensitive benefits to employees and their families. Some of the benefits are mandatory, such as the Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System (TSERS) and basic life insurance. Other plans are optional for example, health and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, tax deferred and tax sheltered plans, long term care insurance, and other supplemental plans. The plan options allow you to customize your benefits to meet your budgetary and personal objectives. We offer the following benefits with additional information available on the State Health Plan website: State Health Plan and our Flexible Benefits website: Mark III. Effective January 1, 2014, employees working on average of 30 hours per week are eligible for a new High Deductible Health Plan (previously known as the Bronze plan).
