Does GCS pay sales tax?
Posted by:yes, GCS is required to pay North Carolina sales tax. Invoices should reflect the proper sales tax amounts. Invoices from construction contractors should also show the amount of sales tax paid in performance of their work.

How can I get a list of commodities that are purchased and how can I find out about upcoming bids?
Posted by:The Purchasing Directory section lists the most often purchased commodities and the staff person responsible for those commodities. Questions regarding commodities may be directed to the responsible staff person by e-mail or phone. Information about current and archived bids are posted under the Bid Solicitation page.

How do HUB businesses obtain MWBE Certification?
Posted by:HUBS must be certified with the state of North Carolina. HUB vendors must identify themselves as such on GCS Vendor Application form and forward a copy of the certification to the Purchasing Department.
