All About Me-Jill Mandala

Welcome back!  I hope everyone had a wonderful summer! I am so excited to meet my new first graders.  We will have a great year!  In reading, students consistently work on phonic skills and reading comprehension by identifying characters, setting, problem, solutions, main idea and details.  In math, students work on geometry, algebraic operations, measurement, and time.  In science students will study plants and animals, forces and motion and the day and night sky.  Students are expected to read for 20 minutes daily to build stamina and fluency.  First grade is wonderful and students will learn everyday as well as have fun.
