Mrs. Sarah Shaw Jones

I am the Exceptional Children's teacher.  I have worked at EMC @ GTCC Jamestown since 2005.  Before that I worked in public and private schools in Alabama and Virginia. I started teaching in 1995.  I grew up in Central West Virginia. 

I am married to a PE Teacher and football coach and we have two children.  I feel so lucky to be a teacher at our little school.  I enjoy helping individual students with their homework and studying.  I also love watching teenagers grow into adults.  I am grateful to be a part of my students' lives.  

In additional to my position as Exceptional Children's teacher, I am also the Service Learning Coordinator.  I also work closely with testing to coordinate all testing accommodations for state and local testing.  I also consult with teachers, students and families about academic concerns for any students who may have a disability that is not yet diagnosed.
