Welcome to the 2022-23 School Year at Kernodle Middle School!  I am excited to see all the amazing things our students, staff and community will accomplish this school year.

I am a graduate of Pfeiffer University with a B.S. in Chemistry and worked as a chemist for several years prior to going into education.  

My first teaching position was at Henry County High School in New Castle, KY teaching chemistry and math.  During that time, I received my M. Ed. from Georgetown College.  My family moved back to North Carolina, and I taught at South Stokes High School in Walnut Cove.  Another move for the family – this time to Greensboro, where I taught at Northwest High School for several years prior to taking on the role of Curriculum Facilitator.  During my tenure at Northwest I received my MSA from NC A&T.  This is my second year as assistant principal here at Kernodle.

I enjoy travelling and spending time with family.  I love being around people, sharing stories and discovering what we have in common.  I look forward to getting to work with each of you and having an awesome school year!
