This website has probes which are one-minute measures you can use to test your child on a specific skill. For example, if you know your student needs help with sight words, you can click on "Measures", choose your child's grade level and then you can click on "Enter scores". There are nine probes for each skill. If you are trying to measure sight words you can click on Word Reading Fluency. When you click on "Enter scores" it will open up the probe. You can even click on "show stopwatch" and it will time a minute for your student to read the words. You can talk to your child about how many words they are able to read in a minute and discuss their progress over time.
Here are some of the skills you can measure: word reading, letter sounds, letter names, and passage reading (fluency).
