Mrs. Katie Thompson

I am excited to be part of the Viking family as a member of your school counseling team!  This is my 22nd year as a counselor with Guilford County Schools.  I have a Master's Degree in Counseling and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, both from Wake Forest University.  Go Deacs!  I am also a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina and have worked in a community agency setting with children, adolescents, and families.  I am an Adjunct Faculty Member with the Department of Counseling at Wake Forest University as well, teaching online courses to graduate students.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and watching sports.
