Each 8th grade ELA student should have the following basic supplies:

* Notebook

* sturdy two pocket folder 

* College Ruled Loose-leaf paper

*Plenty of #2 pencils

* Blue or Black Pens

* Highlighters (2 colors)

Tests and Major Projects (includes large writing assignments) : 40%

Quizzes: 30%

Classwork: 20%

Independent Reading : 10%
