Summit Rotary McKnight Scholarships (for current 11th grade students)

The McKnight Scholarship Program is a permanently endowed scholarship fund created by the Summit Rotary Club that currently awards a needs-based scholarship of $2000 to students at high schools in Guilford County. It is not guaranteed but we hope the 2025 scholarship will also be awarded at $2,000. Students are nominated in the spring of their junior year.

The McKnight Scholarship Program will provide those selected with career mentors, leadership development opportunities, a financial literacy workshop, and opportunities for community service with Summit Rotarians. The value of this mentorship is invaluable to the student in reaching their goals and objectives.

    • To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must demonstrate strong financial need (based on family income and number of dependents), have an un-weighted GPA of 3.0, and have a clearly identified career goal.  Community service, job experience, and extracurricular activities are also considered.
