Welcome to Pre Kindergarten at Brightwood Elementary! How exciting it must be to know your child will begin their academic journey as a Brightwood Tiger! The NC Pre-Kindergarten program is designed for 4-5 years olds, and utilizes the Creative Curriculum  in addition to the Fundations supplemental program that focuses on literacy skills ( identifying letters, learning letter sounds, and writing letters). NC Pre-k use Teaching Strategies to assess and evaluate. I, Ashley Newby am your child's teacher, and Mrs. J. Jones is your child's teacher assistant.
