Welcome to Ms. Rivas's Pre-K classroom.  I am so excited to have such a wonderful class this year.  This is my tenth year teaching Pre-K at Southern, but I have been working in this field since 2009. Two years ago, I obtained my Masters from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a concentration on Early Childhood. I look forward to teaching and learning from your child. This year, we are starting a new curriculum, Frog Street, which is a comprehensive curriculum designed to meet the needs of diverse learners while supporting 10 learning domains. 9 themes are included in this curriculum.  We will be learning about each theme for a four-week period. As a class, we will focus on targeting specific skills in early childhood development to prepare your child to be a successful individual in school and in the community.
