Welcome to my page!   This is my 20th year teaching here at AJE.  I have taught 4^th, 2^nd, 1^{st ,}a Kinder/1st grade combo and First Grade Dual Language-English. I am thrilled about teaching this group of First Graders! Starting the school year through virtual learning will be a challenge, but it will allow us to use some exciting tools and learn new skills.  My former students know that I am crazy about technology, gaming, MUSIC, and Star Wars.  In my downtime you'll find me cooking, attending concerts, or playing games with my family.  

This year our school is part of a grant with UNC-G to become an Arts Integrated Academy. This means we will intentionally adding the Arts into our curriculum to help your child have a more rounded education.  We are also starting our Great Adventure to become more globally connected.  Each grade level is studying a different continent and each classroom a specific country.  First Grade will be studying Asia, and our classroom will be learning specifically about Japan.  I cannot wait to share all the cool things we do this year with you!
