Welcome to 6th grade ELA. 

My name is Mrs. Washington, and I will be your 6th grade ELA EC Teacher.

I graduated from Shaw University, where I received a BA degree in Radio, TV, Flim Communications.

I also attended NCA&T University where I completed my Teaching Certification in Special Education.

My teaching journey started in Germany in 1984, where I lived for 2.5 years. During my stay, I taught K, 1st, 2nd, and Special Education.

I have been teaching for a total of 25 years, most of those years have been here at Hairston Middle, and I have loved every moment of it.

I look forward to being your new 6th grade ELA Teacher. We will have a GREAT YEAR!!!!
