Greetings Parents and Students!
My name is Ms. Whitney Chambers and it is a pleasure to have this opportunity to introduce myself. I am a proud graduate of the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where I obtained my Bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in Social Work. I have been a Guilford County employee since 2017, where I started as a teacher assistant in a EC classroom. I made my transition from assistant to lateral entry lead teacher quite quickly and I am excited to continue evolving as an educator.
I was born and raised in Monroe, North Carolina; after I completed high school and took a short break from my studies, I moved to Greensboro to attend college. My experience with the EC community began at a summer day camp in 2013 where I worked as a camp counselor. I completed my undergraduate internship in a EC-Adapted classroom and quickly made the decision to explore entering the school system.
As a team, we expect our kids to be ready to learn, participate in all instruction, be willing to explore new things and respect themselves while respecting others. There is no such thing as "I can't" in my classroom because if there is a will, there will always be a way. I will do all I can as your child's teacher to ensure goals are achieved in the classroom and in the community. GO WHIRLIES!
Never hesitate to contact me via email at chambew2@gcsnc.com if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I will respond as quickly as the daily schedule permits.
I am extremely excited about 2018-2019 academic school year and the opportunity to contribute to your child's academic success.
Wholeheartedly,
Ms. Chambers
