Mrs. Flores-Ballesteros

I am honored and humbled to serve as the Principal at Allen Jay Elementary School, home of the Jaybirds. This is my first year at Allen Jay but it is my seventh year as an administrator. I have been an educator for over 21 years and have worked in GCS since 2001. I am passionate about teaching, learning and helping others. I believe in building strong relationships with students, teachers, parents, staff and community based on trust and respect. Together, we can offer optimal instruction for culturally and linguistically diverse students where each student can flourish as the take ownership in their own learning. I want to inspire students to become EXTRA-ORDINARY global citizens who are self-directed life-long learners by modeling, coaching, guiding, encouraging and supporting them. 

My husband and I have three sons. Two of them are proud GCS graduates and my youngest is a Freshman at a GCS high school. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and running.
