Ms. Skye Senter
I have been a speech-language pathologist with Guilford County Schools since 2014, and am grateful to continue working with wonderful students and families at Jamestown Elementary.
My role is to support students’ communication needs including: speech, language, social skills, and hearing. I work with teachers to minimize communication barriers with strategies and supports, and provide direct therapy to students as needed. Therapy typically takes place in a small-group or regular education setting, depending on what is outlined in each student’s IEP. The therapy I provide is research-based, data-driven, and personalized to each student’s needs. My teaching philosophy is that students learn best when they are excited, engaged, and know they are cared for by the people around them.
Besides working as a speech-language pathologist, I enjoy doing crafts, traveling (this past summer I went to Niagara Falls), and volunteering as a Girl Scout leader. My sweet and spunky daughter, Ella, is a fourth grader at Jamestown Elementary.
