My name is Annie Harris, I am the librarian at Northern Guilford High School. I'm really happy to be here.
Prior to working at Northern, I was the School Library Media Coordinator at Southwest Elementary in Clemmons, NC (Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools). From 2013-2017 I worked as the Reference and Instructional Librarian at Davidson County Community College in Lexington, NC. My first job as a professional librarian was at Wiley Middle School in Winston-Salem from 2009-2013. I received my Masters in Library Science from UNC Chapel Hill in 2008, and I have a Bachelor's in English from the College of Charleston (SC). Click here to view my resume.

I really enjoy working with and teaching high school students, and I love the collaborations that can happen between high school teachers and the library. My goal is to collaborate with teachers to integrate library and information skills into the curricula they are teaching. My first passion is teaching students to be discerning researchers and information users, and my second passion is connecting students with reading material that they love.
