Mr. Howell "Howie" Dean Ledford, Jr.

Howell Ledford’s Bio.

Howell “Howie” Ledford is the Music Production Instructor at Weaver Academy for Performing & Visual Arts and Advanced Technology in Greensboro, NC.  Previous to this, Mr. Ledford taught Electronic Music at Career Center High School in Winston-Salem, NC for four years.  He currently is the Technology Chair for the North Carolina Music Educators Association (NCMEA).  Mr. Ledford is Pro Tools User Certified and is a published author and arranger.  Mr. Ledford has taught band and orchestra for sixteen years.  As a band and orchestra director, Mr. Ledford has received excellent and superior ratings at state music performance assessments.  He has also been an Associate Conductor for the Wachovia Winds Youth Wind Ensemble.  He currently serves as the Staff Arranger for the East Forsyth High School Blue Regiment. 

Mr. Ledford graduated from Mars Hill College (now Mars Hill University) in 2001 with a Bachelors of Music Education with a Minor in Computer Science.  Mr. Ledford earned a Masters of Music in Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2010.
