CIS (Communities in School) Coordinator: Joan Waring

My name is Ms. Waring. I am the Communities In Schools (CIS) Site Coordinator for Welborn. I am from Lilesville, NC which is in Anson County. This is my third year here at Welborn Academy as CIS Site Coordinator. I have worked 26 years for Anson County Schools and now 3 years for Guilford County Schools. I have 5 adult children and 10 grandchildren. I like to dance, work on jigsaw puzzles, and spend time with my family. As Welborn’s site coordinator, I will collaborate with the Welborn staff, parents, and community to surround our students with the resources that will empower them to stay in school and to achieve in life.
