Welcome to Mrs. Shields' Class!

Hello! My name is Kelly Shields and I am a first grade teacher here at Colfax. I have been blessed to be here for 5 years now; I previously taught Kindergarten in Thomasville City schools. I went to UNC Charlotte to receive my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with a minor in Children's Literature. 

I live in Colfax with my husband, my baby Dakota, my pup-child and my kitty cat. We live on his family farm with cows and a donkey! I love the small-town feel of Colfax and I love the family atmosphere that Colfax Elementary has. I look forward to building a relationship with you and your family, welcome to the Viking Family!
