Dear Parents, 

I am looking forward to a great 19-20 school year with your child.  First grade brings increasing independence and lots of growth in your child as a reader.  I love to see the growth from beginning of year first graders to independent, rising second graders.  Together, as a team, we will work to ensure that they have a successful year of learning, both academically, socially, and emotionally.  I can always be reached by e-mail at mabej2@gcsnc.com.  I do my best to check my e-mail throughout the school day.  I can also be reached through our school number, 336-605-5480.  Please do not hesitate do reach out to me with questions or concerns. 

Volunteers: I welcome extra hands in our classroom to help out.  Please make sure to complete the GCS volunteer form before volunteering.  I will send home information about ways you can volunteer this year.
