Hello!  My name is Cynthia Moore, fourth grade teacher at Guilford Elementary! I am not originally from Greensboro, but landed here to attend the Greatest University on Earth, North Carolina A&T State University, where I received my Bachelors of Education.  My husband and I decided to reside in this area as we are now raising our one and only son.

It has been such a great pleasure having the opportunity working as an Educator. I do not take my teaching career for granted by any means, but instead I find it to be a privilege. 

As I enter my 19^th year of teaching I have found that every year has been different yet unique. In my classroom, I create an environment that allows us to build trust, respect where we are academically, value our learning styles, take education seriously, feel safe and appreciated. Structure is needed to help make the atmosphere conducive for learning, though I must admit that behind my commitment, determination, and passion I like to have fun. You can find me smiling and laughing throughout the day not just at work, but at home as well.  

I also have a passion to be their cheerleader during their extra-curricular activities in and outside of school. That’s my way of giving my support beyond the walls of learning.

I look forward to working with the students and parents for the year of 2018-2019!
