Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Patrice Brown
It is my pleasure to serve as your proud principal this year.
This year is my 12th year as a school administrator in Guilford County. I was assistant principal at NW Guilford Middle for 1 year, and principal at Archer Elementary for 7 years.
I am originally from Maryland, and am a proud Winston-Salem State University Ram with an undergraduate degree in Special Education! I also hold a EdS from UNCG in Educational Leadership, as well as a Masters in Reading Education. My husband and I love traveling and spending time with our family and friends.
Our WGMS vision supports inspiring community minded students who value life-long learning, are accomplished critical thinkers, and are prepared to be tomorrow’s leaders. As a result, our students will find many opportunities for leadership including our school wide Service Learning/Service Learning Club, an active National Junior Honor Society, and character education integration partnered with tolerance club. We are also a Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) model school, and highlight our students' achievements through a student spotlight breakfast each month. We host fall and spring student led conferences, and provide extended learning with transportation provided for academic support, as well as daytime tutors in the spring semester. We offer a full slate of encore classes, including orchestra, and a host of clubs and athletics. We have an active PTA and provide many opportunities for parents to become involved and volunteer. In short, WGMS is a wonderful place to learn and grow, and it is my pleasure to support our terrific WGMS Tigers. We are "All In" for Success!"
