• High School Chemistry Unlocked

    by Princeton Review Year Published:

Another great book that takes high school chemistry and condenses it down in a very straightforward manner.  There are drills (practice tests) and even a reflection section at the end of each chapter where the reader can rate their understanding of what they've read.  I really like the size of this book (22.5 cm long, 15 cm wide, 1.5 cm deep).  Very lightweight and is physically smaller than Chemistry for Dummies.  It is solely geared toward high school chemistry too, so it doesn't delve as deeply as a college course would.  To anyone looking to buy this or any other published book, I highly recommend searching for the book on Deal Oz to make sure you're getting a good deal.  It'll compare prices across several websites in new, used, and rental categories (parents, remember this site once your student goes to college).

First things first:  I love the Dummies book series.  The title is not meant to be offensive to any student or parent reading this page.  I learned how to knit from Knitting for Dummies, and I do own a copy of Chemistry for Dummies.  I highly recommend this series of books if you need help in a course.  They take the concepts from the textbook and break them down in easier to understand terms.  Various editions exist and some older ones may have different authors.  You can even get an edition that has only practice problems.  To anyone looking to buy this or any other published book, I highly recommend searching for the book on Deal Oz to make sure you're getting a good deal.  It'll compare prices across several websites in new, used, and rental categories (parents, remember this site once your student goes to college).
