GCS is Green With 'Electronic Backpacks'

GCS uses Peachjar to share important information with families. Each school has an “electronic backpack” where paper flyers are posted. This “green” initiative will save schools and partners tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. On top of that, posting school flyers in this electronic backpack removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff and volunteers.

The electronic backpack includes school-based information, including parent letters, information about events and activities, and information from enrichment providers. Parents can provide an email address for flyers to be delivered directly to their inbox.

Schools will continue providing important information, including parent letters and more, in paper form. It will also be posted in the electronic backpack so families can go back and find it if it is misplaced.
