Visit NGHS and GCS websites for Activities/Events and School Year calendars. Sign up to receive PTSA newsletter for weekly email with important dates. (Look under Organizations > PTSA to sign up)
Early Dismissal Policy
- Every attempt is made to avoid unnecessary disruptions during instruction time and to have students ready for pick up.
- Excused dismissals - dated/signed note must be brought to attendance office BEFORE school starts.
- Call Attendance office for more details.
Dress Code
- All students must dress in clean, neat attire that does not offend or distract others.

Power School
Students and Parents can access grades and course registration via this website. Users can sign up to receive grade notifications via email. Contact school for login / user ID instructions. Parents Tab on NGHS.gcsnc.com

Course Offerings
There are a variety of options for students to meet their graduation requirements. Inquire with Guidance to learn more about online, dual enrollment, AP class offerings and much more. Visit department websites to see examples of course sequences.
Student Drivers - Parking Spaces are assigned via lottery system in late summer to Seniors and Juniors only. Cost is 50.00 for 2021-22 (per GCS) copies of license and registration are req’d. Parking lot polices are included in the application which can be picked up at the office.
Seniors are given the opportunity to pay to paint their parking spaces. See PTSA web page.
