• Greetings:

It is an honor to be part of such a strong faculty and staff here at ECG. My motto is "no excuses, just results." That is my growth mindset each day.

I have worked in education with students ranging from 1st grade to 12th grade for 20 years in the public schools of Mississippi and North Carolina. Before that, I taught undergrads at Mississippi State University while working on and completing my doctorate in Instructional Systems, Leadership, and Workforce Development with a minor in finance and economics. While completing my doctorate, I taught history to 8th graders using WebQuest technology. I have a Master's degree in agribusiness from South Carolina State University and an extensive background in economics, agricultural economics, finance and school leadership.

This year I am teaching economics and personal finance as well as AP macroeconomics. Additionally, I serve as the school test coordinator, a representative on the Superintendents' advisory council, and club advisor for Red Cross, DECA/economics challenge, and future business leaders of America.

Outside of school, I spend considerable time with my wife Mary and two sons, J3 and Neal. You can also find me coaching and training young people on the basketball court, officiating high school sports, and working in my garden.
