    Second Grade

    Welcome to Second Grade! I am very excited for you to join me on this year's learning journey. Here is a little bit about me: I am originally from New Jersey, but came to Greensboro College for undergrad and never returned north. I earned my master's degree from UNC-Greensboro and my administration license from High Point University. I also earned my National Board certification. This is my 23rd year working in Guilford County Schools. For  the majority of those years I have been a teacher, but I've also been a Curriculum Facilitator and an Assistant Principal.  My passion and love however, is being a classroom teacher and working directly with students.

    At home, my husband and I have three children (Leah, Owen, & Colby.) We love playing and watching sports, especially baseball & tennis. We also enjoy being outside, and visiting the beach. We just dropped our daughter off at James Madison University in VA for her freshman year of college.

    I am very excited to get to know my students and their families. I believe the teamwork between school and home is critical for a student's success. I know this is going to be a GREAT year!
