    What will be covered in Spanish 1B?

    Accept and decline invitations, ordering food and drinks at a restaurant, family relationships, parts of the house/bedroom vocabulary, use of the present progressive tense, the use of comparative/superlatives, correct conjugation of stem changing verbs and the use of the preterite tense.

    What would my son/daughter will be able to do?

    Elicit information using a greater variety of topics, give oral reports about his/her family, having a conversation at a restaurant, write about events that happened in the past and list and describe activities to help in the community.

    What cultural aspects will be covered during the course?

    Food, traditions, informal expression, dances and body gestures in the Latino/Hispanic culture.

    How would I be graded?

    Classwork 25%    Homework 30%    Quizzes 25%     Projects 20% 

    What can I donate to the class?

    Tissues  – Clorox wipes – paper (with lines) for 3 ring binder – Three ring binders – Pencils – markers.

    What do I need to bring to class?

    Three ring binder to be left in the classroom is the ideal item to use for the school year. 

    Completing Spanish 1A and Spanish 1B (eight grade) will give you H.S credit for Spanish 1.
