Mrs. Canady

Greetings! I am so excited about being your child’s second grade teacher this year.  This is my fourth year at SWE and my 8th year teaching. I’ve also taught first and third grade. As a teacher, I am focused on building positive relationships with students while encouraging them to be active participants in our classroom. The goal is for all students to feel at home as they continue to develop their love of learning. I will devote energy getting to know each child; I will treat each learner as a unique individual. Collectively, we will be a second grade family that shines as we lead our peers this year. We will learn and grow together on our 2nd grade adventure!

About Mrs. Canady:

I was born and raised  in Williamsburg, Virginia.

I love to read,plant flowers, visit parks and hike when I am not at school.

I enjoy traveling, visiting parks, and keeping up with my two kids (10 and 12).

My favorite foods are Greek and Mediterranean.

My favorite colors are teal and blue.

My favorite drinks are flavored, carbonated water.

My favorite stores are Target and Michaels.

I can’t wait to learn all about our second grade students this year!
