Ms. Rivers
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Aeriele Rivers and I have been a part of the Brightwood Elementary School family since January 2016. I am so thrilled to be back and to apart of such a magnificent school and community. I received my Bachelors’ degrees from UNCG in Human Development Family Studies and African American Studies. I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University. I am licensed as a School Counselor by the Department of Instruction of North Carolina. I also have my Licensed Professional Counselor License (LPC) and my National Certified Counselor certification (NCC).
As a School Counselor, it is my main responsibility to promote academic, social-emotional, and individualized development of all students. I look forward to meeting all the students and working with the staff, families, and community. I will be meeting with students individually and small groups, conducting classroom lessons, meeting with parents, and collaborating with teachers and staff. Together we can help meet the needs of Brightwood students and families.
Students can request to meet with me, or they can be referred by a teacher, parent, or administrator. If you have any concerns regarding your child, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at 336-375-2565 or by email riversa@gcsnc.com. I am very excited to be at Brightwood and I look forward to a successful school year!
